Questions parents ask

What size ball does my kid need?

Pre-K and kindergarten use a 25.5" ball. 1st through 5th grade use 27.5" (not 28.5"). 6th grade uses the full-size 29.5".

What color socks?

Black, for every game.

How much is admission?

$5 per adult at home games, and it's good all day. Pay with cash or Venmo at the door.

Who takes game photos?

Becca Henderson with B&D Photography. Reach her on her Facebook page for photos of your kid.

When and where are games?

Sundays, starting at 9:00 AM with the youngest kids first. Home games are at the South Pittsburg Elementary School gym or the High School gym. From 3rd grade up, some games are away. Your kid's exact times are on the schedule page.

What does it cost to play?

$70 per player, or $100 for the whole family. Pay by Venmo or with cash or a check at the gym.

What should my kid bring?

Basketball shoes, black socks, a water bottle, and their ball. We hand out jerseys at the first game.

What if a game gets cancelled or moved?

We'll update the schedule right away, and it shows up on your phone if you added the calendar link. Big changes go in the News section too.

Are teams co-ed?

Through 2nd grade, yes. From 3rd grade up there are boys' and girls' teams.

What's the difference between Rec and Jr. Pro?

Rec teams play in the Jackson County, Alabama league. Jr. Pro teams play open teams from around the area. Both have some away games, up to about 50 minutes out.
